	03.02.2022 New model was propsoed to predict gas permeabilit inmembranes The group of scientists led by Vladimir V. Volkov, within the framework of the project of RSF 19-19-00647, proposed a mathematical model that allows to predict the permeability of polymer membranes for mixtures of various gases. In such a system, the selectivity of gas separation may noticeably deviate from the "ideal" calculated from the experimental values of the permeability of individual gases. The authors explained why this phenomena takes place and proved the correctness of their calculations in practice. The proposed model will allow to determine the properties of selective materials and the perspectivenes of their practical application without conducting the experiments. The research was supported by a grant from the Russian Science Foundation and published in the international journal Membranes.
